Steps to take before enrolling in your college class

Below (and attached) are a quick-guide for students with steps on how to apply for admission and enroll. Delta has also created two videos on the process for students who may need more of a walk-through. Link to videos: https://pdcdeltacollege.com/dep/apply/

Returning Students who took dual enrollment courses last Fall 2019 or spring 2020 do NOT need to Apply for Admission and they do NOT need to submit a CES form. They just need the following two steps:

  1. Submit a new California College Promise Grant form for 2020-21. This step can now be done online! https://bog.opencccapply.net/gateway/bog?cccMisCode=551 (by Aug. 14).
  2. Ms. Lazo will email your Aspire student email with the class number for your college class. If you have more than one college class, you’ll receive a separate email from Ms. Lazo with each class number. Go to step 4 in the attached guide to enroll once you have the number (by Aug. 14).

For new students to Delta and dual enrollment courses, please complete the following steps:

  1. Apply for Admissions steps (1 and 2) – By August 10 and no later than August 12.
  2. SKIP the CES form step for now. We’ll have a DocuSign process at a later date.
  3. Complete CCPG form: https://bog.opencccapply.net/gateway/bog?cccMisCode=551 (by Aug. 14).
  4. Ms. Lazo will email your Aspire student email with the class number for your college class. If you have more than one college class, you’ll receive a separate email from Ms. Lazo with each class number. Go to step 4 in the attached guide to enroll once you have the number (by Aug. 14).

To assist with the application process, Delta is also offering live application presentations/workshops via Zoom. Delta will host two application workshops via Zoom on 8/5 and 8/11. See ATTACHED Flyer with the times and links to join the Zoom application workshops. No registration is required to attend. However, the limit is 300 participants.

Important information regarding Delta classes:

Delta semester: August 24 through December 18, 2020

Delta classes will be delivered ONLINE, in an asynchronous learning format, where students view lectures, take tests/quizzes, participate in discussions, and complete tasks at their own time, but within the open/due dates of the items, as set by the instructor. No real-time Zoom meetings or exams will be scheduled (not mandatory). Delta instructors will be encouraged to hold optional office hours to assist students with questions or concerns.
